As Jesus finished his time alone in the wilderness preparing for his ministry, he was first tempted to turn stones into bread so that he might eat and be satisfied. (Matthew 4:1-4) This significant act was not only relative to his present hunger, but would also be a symbolic act of the power he could exert on nature to meet the needs of the people he met. His power to manipulate nature could be an easy way to gain attention and help the people. It seemed like an obvious thing to do – it seemed like the loving thing to do. Give the people what they need to live on.

But within this seemingly great deed of generosity was the seed of spiritual destruction.

Jesus knew full well that food, clothing and shelter would play an important role in his ministry. Many of his parables and teachings addressed the issue of economic equality. If the people’s bellies were empty, they would be thinking about what to eat, not paying much attention to his words. Or if they were cold, they would be thinking about how to get warm. If in pain, they would think only about relief. Basic needs had to be met so that the people would listen.

But Jesus also knew the dangers of having too much. When we have more than we need, that wealth can easily replace our need for connections with our Creator and Provider. Their fear of “not-having” what they now enjoy grows ever stronger and their hearts grow harder. People become more self-centered and less giving.

The writer of Proverbs 30:7-9 describes the above two dangers well, “Two things I ask of You; do not deny them to me before I die:… give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food that I need, or I shall be full, and deny You, and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’ or I shall be poor, and steal, and profane the name of my God.”

If Jesus took the path of providing too much abundance, he would quickly become popular (but for the wrong reasons), and people would begin to place their material comfort between themselves and a relationship with God. The battle is between materialism versus community. A battle too many of us face today.

Jesus understood the need for balance in life. He understood the need to have the basics, and he understood the need to avoid having too much. Both the body and the soul need to be properly nourished, and thus he responded to this temptation, “One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God.”

For many years in my life I just could not accept that God, by His grace, mercy and goodness had forgiven all of my sins. There was always this dark cloud of my past sins hanging over my head. I begged for His forgiveness for the same sins over and over again. As a result I lived for many years in bondage. In this article I want to show you from God

Believing in Jesus Christ is easy but for many people getting to the point of believing can be most difficult because Satan has deceived them and they are confused. Believing in Jesus Christ is the most important decision you will make in life! You are not alone.

Believing in Jesus Christ is more than accepting a fact. It involves accepting a life altering fact. Believing in Jesus Christ is a Spiritual decision. The Holy Spirit makes the gospel clear to the unregenerate person so that he or she can choose Salvation. Believing in Jesus Christ is the only way you can be saved. (John 14:6) Believing in Jesus Christ is the only Way to get into Heaven and be reconciled back to God.

The world gives glitter and false hopes, but believing in Jesus Christ is the real deal. Jesus can make your life have real meaning. Believing in Jesus Christ is not a blanket insurance policy that you will never suffer trials. Only those who know God as a living, indwelling presence are God’s children. Believing in Jesus Christ is an important part of the full truth about God.

Believing in Jesus Christ is not a religion. Once you start reading the Bible, you will actually find that He was opposed to religion. Being a Christian is more than calling yourself one if it is popular for you to do so. Believing in Jesus Christ is only a part of Christianity, abiding by his teachings is also a major part of the religion. Christianity, “the way” whatever you call believing in Jesus Christ is the “one true” religion. Therefore, this believing in Jesus Christ is not a one-time deal and it is all over with. You must be committed unto Him or else you are no longer a believer and NOT The Way to Heaven, according to the Bible. You are Christian, even if you have a different way of looking at the religion then another. Believing in Jesus Christ is what makes you a Christian.

Believing in Jesus Christ is believing the power of love is greater than the power of evil. Are you willing to trust Jesus, and to believe in the power of love? It is declared that more than believing in Jesus Christ is required, and the reality is that if believing in Jesus Christ is not accompanied by evidence of good works, there is no real belief in Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Not only that, but believing in Jesus Christ is the means by which the gift of decreed goodness in God’s eyes is given, along with the ability to do Good.

Believing in Jesus Christ is obeying Him. Believing in Jesus Christ is ALL that you need in your life. He ALONE is able to hold your future together forever, enabling you to go all the way through life. Instead of men sacrificing their sons, God sacrificed his own son for the sins of men. Believing in Jesus Christ is the only thing that will bring mankind true happiness. This is what gives us “joy unspeakable and full of glory.”

John Shelby Spong, Jesus for the Non-Religious, New York: HarperCollins, 2007.

The title indicates that Bishop Spong intends to present a Jesus free of traditional mythology that modern readers can believe in; but two-thirds of the book is a very thorough examination of how the gospel accounts present interpretations shaped by the Hebrew Scriptures rather than historical veracity. In my opinion, the positive ending is pallid and unconvincing, even though it expresses opinions that are Bishop Spong’s sincerely held personal beliefs.

The first third of the book is summarized in a page-long paragraph on page 128. There was no virgin birth and the Christmas stories are fiction. Joseph is a legendary character. There probably were not twelve disciples. Jesus did not heal the blind and lame or have command over the forces of nature. There was no Last Supper and no betrayal. The events at the cross are fiction because there were no witnesses to record them. There was no bodily resurrection and no ascension into heaven.

Spong presents a different view of the role of oral tradition in shaping the gospel accounts. He exposes the extent to which the images from Passover and Yom Kippur are used in describing the sacrificial role of Jesus. He concludes that the stories of Jesus were presented in the synagogue from the beginning in terms that emphasized that his life events were “according to scripture.” Thus stories from the Hebrew Scriptures shaped the telling of the story from the beginning. On top of that, he believes that the order of events in the Synoptic Gospels is explained liturgically by seeing each segment as intended for readings in the synagogue to correspond with dates on the Hebrew liturgical calendar.

Having thoroughly demolished the gospels as reliable historical records, he then draws on their stories to present a picture of Jesus breaking though barriers of tribal division and prejudice. That is the Jesus Spong puts forward as the instrument of God. “There is salvation, I believe, in the fully human Jesus who reveals what human life can be, an existence free of tribal boundaries, free of prejudice, free of sexism and free of fear.” (p. 263) He also believes that Jesus “is divine because his humanity and his consciousness were so whole and so complete that the meaning of God could flow through him.” (p. 275)

After revealing how little historical reliability could be drawn from the gospels, Spong fails to give the grounds for drawing a reliable picture of any kind from the gospels. He chooses to believe stories that support his view of a Jesus who broke the boundaries of his time and place. For example, he sees Jesus as going beyond Jewish prejudices against Gentiles. But he fails to notice that Jesus limited his ministry to a Jewish audience, as indicated by the fact that he avoided cities like Tiberias, or Caesaria, or the Decapolis where predominately Greek speakers would be found. He mentioned how Jews often chose to travel through the deserts of Perea to get to Jerusalem rather than go the direct route through Samaria; but he neglected to mention that, according to the gospels, Jesus also chose that route from Galilee, thus indicating conformity with the prejudice against Samaritans.

In the end, Bishop Spong fails to convince that he has a vision of Jesus that can appeal to modern readers. He is most successful in his thorough analysis of the layers of interpretation that have been presented too long as history.

Today, you can buy a variety of designs for Bible covers. You can choose one that will suit your age, your profession, or even your lifestyle as a believer. Most of these covers are made from canvas as well as polyester.

Some of these covers include a zipper, a pen holder, and a carrying handle as a minimum. Here are some of the most common varieties of Bible covers that you can buy.

For Men and Women

Most of the time, the Bible protector you choose depends on what’s functional for you. For example, most men go for covers that are simple with plenty of pockets that can serve as an organizer as well. Men usually go for plain, dark colors and simple designs.

On the other hand, women usually opt for covers that have more style. They are also bolder with their color choices.

For the Teens

Teenagers would obviously pick Bible protectors that showcase their personality. One popular color for teen girls would be hot pink; others would prefer to have the distressed or frayed look on their Bible protectors.

For teenage boys, they might prefer something more edgy. They usually go for covers that have bold statements printed on them, something like, “Hardcore Christian,” or “New Rebellion.” Some Bible covers are even made with a strap, so it can function as a body bag which is perfect for young adults and teens.

Choosing and picking Bible protectors doesn’t have to be a tiresome task. If you are bent in protecting something that is very precious to you, then you should not hesitate in getting your own Bible covers today.

Get a wide selection with great discounts on all Bible Covers and even Purity Rings.

Are you sick and tired of drinking? Is it taking total control of your life and you cant enjoy life because everything you do has to be about drinking? Let me tell you my story. First my name is Anthony and I have three children and a wife. I started drinking when I was 11 years old so that means I have been drinking for 25 years. That’s a long time when your only 36 years old.

It just took over my life, it started small at frist when I was in my twentys but after my frist wife left me that’s when I got real bad. It was nothing for me to drink a 5th of Jack and a 12 pack behind that. All i wanted to do was drink and party, even if I was alone. Being alone did not bother me as long as I had my fix. The bad thing is it was wrecking my life and I did not even see it. I could not keep a job to save my life because I was to drunk to care most of the time.

But one day I found Jesus Christ and I prayed for him to help me and save me from this Hell I was living. I knew if I died I would not make it to heaven. If you look in Galatians chapter 5:21 it says “Envying, murders, drunkenness, revelling, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God”.

Jesus Christ is the key to true happiness. You can look for some Dr. to give you pills that make you sick if you drink but that does not fix the problem. You can try to quit on your own but you will be back to it again in a week or so. Jesus Christ is the only way to be free from this demon that has you as a slave to sin. I know because Jesus Christ healed me from it and I dont need it anymore.

Sure I think about it sometimes but God gives me the strengh to stay away from it. So if you are in a bad fix then the only way to freedom it to go to Jesus and ask him to come in your life. I will show you how to get saved and I have good Bible studies for you. You must want this with a true heart or you will fall. Jesus will not make you serve him, you have freedom to follow the light or darkness. It’s all up to you, if you do really want freedom then you must become his child and the only way to do this is to let him in your heart. He will fix you and give you what you need. Having revealed so much Truth in part one, I can now hear the Christian Religious flagellating types – whips in hand, crying “heretic!” and groaning at just the thought of realising that they may have to admit to the fact and The Truth that the Lord Jesus Christ has done everything for them, but will they? Not likely. No, what they will probably do is reach for their Bibles and immediately quote John’s first letter – 1 John 1, for this is one of their favourite Bible bashing passages when it comes to holding all those poor souls around them in their satanic bondage:

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Now here is the issue; is this verse countering or causing a contradiction to what I have said in the above paragraphs in part one? No, definitely not. The first chapter of John’s letter is not written in the same style as Paul’s letters and, perhaps, is not a letter at all, but more of a sermon, a sermon to be read aloud in the churches.

Notice, for this evidence is crucial. The first chapter of 1 John is addressed to a different audience from those in the second chapter, which is where a lot of ‘experts’ i.e. Bible intellectuals and theologians go wrong. The opening verses are a declaration of John’s witness and his personal experience of the Lord Jesus and of the opportunity, for those who believe, of eternal life, and the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ is The Light – see verses 1-5; but to whom is he declaring this information? To those who were already believers and/or already Born Again? Wouldn’t they have already known this information? People don’t go around declaring old information or old news, they only declare new information or new news; something that has not been heard before – hot off the press so to speak.

Look people, time was precious, even in the first century, and John would not have wasted his time preaching to the converted. John in chapter 1 of his letter was speaking to non-believers or those who were beginning to show an interest in the Good News; those The Father was calling. That is why he is declaring it or announcing it, as if, for the first time because his audience will have not heard this message before. As stated, in verse 8, we read “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves…“ Those Born Again in that congregation would have already known this and would have confessed their sins previously at the time of their baptisms. Again, why would John preach this message to the converted? Once Born Again, we have a new heart, a new heart where The Law is written, a repentant heart. We now think differently. So no, these verses are aimed at the unconverted – those who may, through their uninformed ignorance, be saying they have no sin.

Back to verse 3: “that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us…” Please note this and note it well, because John is saying something very specific here i.e. “that you may join us.” This means these people are not yet church members, they are not yet in fellowship so they must be newbies or potential converts – they are definitely not established believers for they are not yet members of The Church. All John is saying to them is this: “Look, you can no longer carry on living the way you are, in sin, and at the same time deny that you are sinners or think that you are not in need of The Lord’s redemptive sacrifice.” He is explaining to them that they must decide to put their old lifestyles behind them, they must confess their sins, admit their wickedness and not try to kid The Father or themselves that they’re without sin. Quite plainly, John says to them, and again I refer to verse 8, that if you say you have no sin then you are lying to God, lying to your fellow man and even lying to yourselves. More importantly, in chapter 1 verse 10, John also says that we make The Father a liar as well and His Word is not in us.

We need to understand that these verses are here to help bring new converts to true repentance i.e. to help them realise that in their sinful fallen condition they need redemption (as we all do) and to know what is involved in order to become a Born Again true believer and follower of Our Lord Jesus Christ. All The Lord is looking for is that Fatherly given change of attitude towards sin, followed by a one time only confession, and then a continuing repentant heart, which means maintaining the right attitude to sin. This also means an ongoing willingness to change as He empowers us and guides us into that change, not our worthless “self-generated self-improvement programme,” “our getting ourselves ‘right’ with God,” “our participation,” “our daily cleansing,” “our salvation by progress,” “our sanctification by process,” “our justification process” or “our boot strap DIY Christianity” as I call it. All of this stuff is unadulterated vain Christian Religious humbug.

So be encouraged, for the words of the first chapter of 1 John should be positively challenging and thought provoking if directed at the right people; that is, those coming to the Lord Jesus Christ, and if accepted in the right Fatherly God given Spirit, then euphoric for new believers, but, and this is a huge but, if these words of 1 John 1 are preached or taught as binding on those already Born Again, they are blasphemous and evil in the extreme, and will literally put that believer back into the bondage of Old Covenant Judaism and legalistic slavery.

In chapter two of 1 John he continues his message to new converts and babes in Christ, repeating some of the basics of the first chapter, but by verse 8 of chapter 2, he has shifted the emphasis away from newbies by explaining that the darkness has past and they are now walking in The Light – they are now Born Again. By verse 12, he speaks to these new converts by telling them their sins are now forgiven, and notice, not some of their sins, but all of their sins. In verse 13, his message shifts direction again, and it is now aimed at the older members of the church, here called fathers, but this is blasphemous too. The correct word here is elders, for we have only one Spiritual Father and He is in heaven. In the same verse he also speaks to the young men of the church. We have, therefore, in 1 John a letter that is not only addressed to non-believers and newcomers in chapter 1, but also to people at different stages of maturity in the Faith – different audiences in fact.

OK, I have now come to the final issue of this study and the main question, which is – do we as Born Again believers have to continually and repetitively keep asking the Lord God for forgiveness and endlessly confess our sins to Him? Let’s stop and think about this for a while. I have already quoted God’s Word that Our Lord took all of our sins with Him to the cross. If that is the case, and I know that it is, then why do we keep on reminding Him of our latest sins? By doing this we are really saying to Him:“Here you are Lord, here are some sins you forgot to take with you to the cross.” Now is this a blasphemy or not? To me it most assuredly is. Here is another question: If you are still confessing your latest sins having already confessed you were a sinner at baptism, what do you expect The Lord Jesus Christ to do with your latest sins? He dealt with those sins at the cross so that at the point of your calling he would accept your confession. At that point in your life He forgave you all your sins, how many times do you need forgiving?

Understand this, for I now, no longer repetitively confess my sins to The Lord, and I will now give you the Biblical reasons why. Let us now move onto 1 John 3 verse 1. As Born Again believers, we are now loved and accepted sons and daughters of God. Verse 2: he who sins breaks the Law and yet, verse 3, Jesus was manifested (clearly visible and apparent to the mind), to take awayour sins – all of our sins, not just some of them. Verse 6 – now get this: “Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not;” how does that work then!!?? We need to realise that I, like you, have not stopped sinning, I am a flesh living soul, a sentient man, but then I, the new man, have not stopped abiding in Him nor have I stopped trusting and believingin Him. Doh! Of course! I am abiding in Him if I keep on trusting and believing in Him, so even though I sin in the flesh, I don’t sin as far as the Father is concerned because my new man cannot sin. He sees only the new Born Again man with Jesus Christ in me via the Holy Spirit, and not the old me. Now am I going to argue with the Lord Jesus Christ and The Father over that? Not likely, the thing is, are you?

John then reaffirms this amazing Truth in verse 9: “Whosoever is born of God (The Father) doth not commit sin: for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin because he is born of God (The Father).”(Brackets mine) Right,I’ll repeat my question: How does this work then? It works because He took all of our sins to the cross. This includes all of yesterday’s sins, today’s sins and tomorrow’s as well. If He took them all then we must be perfect in His sight. Quite plainly if He didn’t take them all then we are, horror of horrors, still in our sins. The bottom line of this is this, if we, as believers, are still confessing our sins and asking for forgiveness of our sins, we are trampling all over The Lord’s Sacrifice. We are forgiven – period and there are no steps, stages or phases to forgiveness, it’s a one off event and we are either forgiven or we’re not forgiven and that’s it.

What about the Lord’s Prayer I hear you ask? Am I saying then that The Lord’s Prayer is not for Born Again believers? In a word, yes, because it was delivered as a prayer outline or guide to those who were not yet Born Again, they were still under the Law. Even the Lord Jesus Christ was under the Law whilst He was in the flesh and walked this earth; Matt. 6:9-15. Verse 12: “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” This statement is a conditional remark and there are no conditions under grace. However, life under The Law was strictly conditional, do this and do that, don’t do this and don’t do that, in order to be forgiven. Slay that animal and let its blood flow into the ground and you will then be forgiven your sins – until the next time!!!!!! Now we are under Grace, we are forgiven – full stop. Now because we are forgiven, it should be natural to forgive, if our brother repents. It should now be unnatural not to forgive. How can we not forgive knowing what He has done for us? Please read the story of the wicked servant in Matt. 18:23-35.

To finish off let’s go to the final verse of this study with 1 John 3:3 which I believe says it all: “And every man that hath his hope in Him purifieth himself even as He is pure.” There you have it in one verse, and if you keep your hope and trust in Him you are as pure as the Lord himself. So if we are pure through keeping our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ how can we then confess sins – where are the sins that need confessing when The Father cannot see them? Where is the need to confess sins that were forgiven us completely at baptism? We need to fully comprehend that we are literally asking the Father God to forgive transgressions and sins He cannot see. I  hope and pray that these two articles will be of help to all who read them and assist those about to make that leap of faith out of the counterfeit Baal worshipping Christian Religion. Watch this space for further studies.

Is there such a thing as religious knowledge? If one were to ask this question in today’s public square, he or she would likely be censored. Today, the notion that there is such a thing as religious truth that can be known is not in vogue. The famous twentieth century Christian thinker Francis Schaeffer astutely observed that, when it comes to knowledge, people today behave as if they live in a two-tiered world, a world in which there is an upper room and a lower room. We live in a culture that has been infected with the notion that information we can trust can only be obtained in the lower room through empirical observation and reason. This is the realm of the hard sciences such as chemistry and physics. Religion, ethics, theology, and philosophy do not give us facts, so the narrative goes, but only personal opinions, and so these occupy the upper room of faith and fantasy where truth and reason have no place.

Christianity pushes against this notion, and challenges all reasonable persons to test its truth claims in the lower room. Christianity has never been afraid of a good intellectual fight, and its history is replete with brilliant thinkers who have commended the faith boldly, reasonably, and successfully to their generations. The challenge of Christianity to the world is reflected in the words of the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:17: “And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.” Paul throws down the gauntlet and asserts that the truth of Christianity hangs by the thread of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. If it happened, then Christianity is true. If it did not, then Christianity is a hoax.

Paul contends that the Christianity is not just a matter of opinion or blind belief, but a matter of historical facts that can be tested (1 Corinthians 15:1-8). Unlike other religions that are based on individual subjective experiences, cultural indoctrination, unfalsifiable assumptions, and unverifiable claims, Christianity points to an historical event in space and time, offers credible “lower-room” evidence for this event, and invites anyone to falsify it. Christianity asserts that the evidence will inexorably lead to the empty tomb and the resurrection from the dead of Jesus Christ, the Son of God in the flesh.

If this is true, then it certainly has consequences for our lives. Jesus taught that there is a God, the person and nature of whom have been revealed in the Old Testament. He called this God his Father. He claimed that he himself was the only path to knowing this God and to eternal life. Yet he promised that his yoke would be easy and his burden light for all who follow him. His resurrection from the dead was his ultimate credential, validating his claims. We should be stunned by this event. But we need not make an irrational leap of faith to believe it. The evidence strongly and loudly proclaims across the millennia that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that in believing in him, we may have life. He is the one born of a virgin, God incarnate, the one who came to save the world. Accepting this as true is only reasonable.

To say that one who wishes to be saved can be saved without believing in Jesus Christ is heresy of the worst kind. Clearly, believing in Jesus Christ is necessary for our salvation. Believing in Jesus Christ is the only thing that gives us eternal life. We get to heaven by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

Believing in Jesus Christ is not an eternal insurance policy, it is just the beginning, and God wants a growing relationship with you. A relationship with God through believing in Jesus Christ is the solution to all problems. Believing in Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven and living a moral life. Believing in Jesus Christ is a good thing. Mentioning His name every so often in prayer is even better, and that believing in Jesus Christ is life changing. He forgives at the last minute too.

Believing in Jesus Christ is one of the most important aspects of leading a Christian life. Believing in Jesus Christ is believing in the Savior of the world. He is who He said He was, and He can do what He said He could do, and grant us eternal life.

What is salvation? It is not preaching, it is not crying, it is simply accepting and believing in Jesus Christ is Lord. Believing in Jesus Christ is, of course, accepting all He accomplished in His death, burial and resurrection. Believing in Jesus Christ is to make a decision at a definite point in time, a deliberate choice to trust Jesus Christ alone for salvation.

Believing in Jesus Christ is not enough. Believing in Him is going against the grain of society, but look how many people He touched. Jesus Christ is our redeeming and merciful sovereign Lord and is our moving force, who inspires and empowers us to do the work for him. People need to worship with other Christians, minister to others, and serve Christ. The Bible is the Word of God and believing in Jesus Christ is the only way to achieve personal salvation. Jesus states “I am the truth the way and the life. No man comes to the father but by me”. Believing in Jesus Christ is the true religion.

Believe that knowing Jesus Christ, relying on Jesus Christ and believing in Jesus Christ is the only escape to the rat-race of life. Thus having faith and believing in Jesus Christ as our Savior. Nothing we can do, in and of ourselves, can save us from sin, only Jesus Christ can, trust Jesus Christ alone for our salvation. All Christians have a God box.

We like to bundle the Creator into a manageable package.  We have a little internal memory block where we store our definition of the Almighty.  The contents are a collection of thoughts, images, misconceptions, all out lies, and truths that mingle together, reflect the Christian growth process, and define the boundaries of our faith in the Father.

Now God boxes usually start small, and then expand in relation to our studies, hopes, trials, victories, and faith or lack thereof.  Here is a sample God box:

1)      Torn paper bag: first God holder, wadded up and move to the next container.

2)      Tattered matchbox: early God views, also packed into the current vessel.

3)      Various papers wrapped in a jumbled twine ball: theology.

4)      Card deck, Jokers only: names of the people that can’t get it right.

5)      Clouded metal mirror: to establish personal righteousness.

6)      Stained glass: an attempt to restrain God’s glory.

7)      Jar of nuts and bolts: personal life experiences.

8)      Odd sized stones: collection of answered prayers.

9)      Book of Truth: Scripture, sometimes used, sometimes not.

Now we cannot escape having a God box.  Carrying around the old flesh limits our view of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.  Learning to live free is the most difficult process that a Christian will face.  But we have a command that carries a promise that, when followed, assures us that these limiting God boxes can be rightly filled.

“But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart, and with all thy soul.  When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.” (Deuteronomy 4:29-31)

Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” From experience of going to Sunday School as a child, through my teenage years and now as a youth worker, little seems to have changed. We are in danger of translating the above verse to “Sunday School the same yesterday, today and forever.” Without change there may not be a Sunday School tomorrow.

The Sunday School movement as a whole throughout the world has focused on teaching the Good News of Jesus Christ. Telling the well known bible stories like Daniel in the Lion’s Den and David and Goliath. This is the part of Sunday School that must not change, that of the Good News – Jesus Christ died for our sins and he defeated the power of sin and death by rising to eternal life. Through this risen life we have hope that we too can have eternal life. That message remains the same yesterday, today and forever.

What we need to think about is the way the content of our faith is delivered or taught. It should be different from 30-40 years ago and tomorrow’s technology will change it again. As language, images, culture and other influences come into our lives it changes how we reach a new generation. A generation that will understand and embrace what is being taught.

Over the years teaching methods have changed from lecturing through to discussion. Yet another method was to combine teaching with activity. Learning centres, where boys and girls rotate, teachers taking responsibility for one particular centre. This can be utilised for groups across the age spectrum and is particular helpful in smaller congregations.

Some questions to ask yourself are:

How has the teaching message changed in the Sunday School you attend?

If you teach how have your methods changed over the years?

What teaching methods do you think will be used tomorrow?

What do you think teaching in the Sunday School will look like tomorrow?

The inventions or creations that have had the greatest impact on our world are:

1) Language – the ability to communicate one with another and to understand each other.

2) The printing press – enabled mass production of books and literature which led to increased

knowledge and education for the average person. The bible was made available for people

to read God’s word for themselves.

3) Knowledge – the explosion of the computer with internet connection. Most people now have

a computer in their home. Children use it at school and college. The internet is second

nature to young people and they use it in ways the older generation are just learning about.

The story was told of the President of a seminary college who had tried to get his son to read the bible. However, he was not interested. So one day he purchased an electronic bible from a Christian bookshop. Whilst he had no idea how to use it he gave it his son saying “Here is something you might like to use.” Once his son had started to use it, his father couldn’t get it out of his hands. He started to study and learn bible verses asking his father questions as he read the different passages. His father had found the key which unlocked the method of learning his son understood and enjoyed.

How many of us have computers? How many of us have computers in our church? Has the computer had an impact on your Sunday School yet? As our children and young people use computers in the home and at school, can we use it as a tool in Sunday School? The knowledge explosion has only just begun and has not really impacted us yet, but this may well create changes for the Sunday School of tomorrow.

The content of our teaching – the Good News of Jesus Christ should not change. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. The task is to effectively communicate to children and young people this message in a way that they understand. This will mean changing the teaching method of today and particularly for tomorrow. Are you ready?

When you look everywhere, there is a lot of dating advice these days. But among this advice, it is often hard to find a genuine advice on Christian dating. Thus wherever you look, there are certainly a lot of Christians who have taken the wrong path when it comes to dating and going out. The importance of knowing how Christians date in the first place should be emphasized since it is still a matter of knowing what God wants us to do and He wants us to do it in accordance to our beliefs as Christians.

For non-Christians, dating is another way to look at it. They have a different perspective and view about dating like for example or perspectives in Christian dating relationship, they get a wrong sense of how to look in a date and how dates should go on and so on.

But with Christian perspective, it is important to make God as the center of everything and make Him the reason on why we are dating in the first place. Without God, people seemed to be lost in a relationship. They have different views of how a relationship should be and are sometimes confused on what is the right thing to do.

For Christian teens, it would be best to guard the hearts. It is often mistaken how love should be with teens thus; it is essential to read a few scriptures about love and when is the right time to really have someone as partner. Moreover, with teens, it should be guided that the love they will show should not be a

ere is a treasure hidden deep within you that’s waiting to be revealed. (2 Cor. 4: 7) If you know Jesus Christ as your Saviour than you have His anointing in you. Christ means Anointing. It is the Holy Spirit, who took up residence in you when you became born again. That is why it is called the second birth.

Adam and Eve were covered with the anointing, or glory of God. They did not need any other kind of covering. Unlike all other animals, who are covered with feathers, fur, wool or scales and the like, they did not need any kind of outward covering. That is, until they disobeyed God. That’s when the anointing left them and they realized they were naked!

That anointing was lost forever and cannot be bought, wished, or won back by any religious actions or pious living. In the Old Testament it was powerfully displayed after the Lord showed His Glory to Moses on Mt. Sinai. When he got back down, his face radiated so much that the people were afraid to come near him and he had to cover it with a veil! (Ex. 34: 29 – 35) Alas, that glory did not last. It was a reflection of an outward glory.

God bestowed his anointing on many Hebrew people, mainly the prophets. But again, that anointing would come on them for a time and a purpose. But now you can receive the anointing by acknowledging the only One who could restore it. Do you know Him? If you do, are you aware of the awesome anointing that is in you?

Moses did not realize his face was so radiant until he saw the fear of the people and was told about it. Is your light shining brightly?

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 Cor. 3: 18)

The closer you walk with God and observe His Commandments and come to know Him through His Word, the more you will be like him, and it will show outwardly. People will be drawn to you and want what they see in you!

Are you still not sure whether or not you have, or even deserve, such anointing? Then meditate on this:

“we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead; who delivered us from so great a death

LDS artwork stands for Latter-Day Saint art, this means art that was created by or specifically for an LDS audience. Despite the fact that some people believe that members of the Mormon church are not Christians, the truth is that they are. You can tell just by the official name of the church. You will see the message of Christianity spread throughout their artwork. There are a few differences you will find between traditional Christian artwork and LDS art.

Differences:

Restoration paintings – since Christianity outside of the Mormon faith does not believe in a restoration this would be unfamiliar to other Christians. This type of artwork would include prophet paintings; paintings of Joseph Smith or other modern day prophets. This might also include portrayals of the first vision.
Temple art – Members of the Mormon faith have strong feelings about temples, and there are many paintings and photographs of temples that can be found in LDS homes.
Book of Mormon art – The Book of Mormon is sacred to LDS people. There are many stories that are portrayed visually through art.
Church history – The Mormon people are very proud of their heritage. Often you will find pictures of pioneers and other events that took place in the early history of the Mormon faith.
Even though there are differences between traditional Christian artwork and Mormon artwork there are also plenty of similarities since both are based in Christ’s teachings.

Similarities:

Christ Paintings – LDS people have a deep respect for the Savior and often use paintings of Christ that are found in other denominations. This is probably the most important similarity.
Biblical History – Since LDS people believe the Bible to be the word of God, they have a lot of art that portrays Bible history. Other churches would also have paintings of biblical figures such as Moses or Noah.
Statues of Christ – Both Mormons and other Christians will have statues of Christ.
Family pictures – Mormons and other Christian denominations feel that the family is ordained of God. Both would feel that showing their families and remembering good times through photographs are important.
Inspirational saying or phrases hung on the wall – Christians in general like to have sayings on their walls that reminds them of the purpose of life. They are usually decorative.
Paintings of nature – The beauties of nature are important to almost all who believe in Christ. Paintings of valleys, mountains, lakes, forests, streams and other natural settings would be found in probably most Christian homes.
Patriotic art – Most American Christian are very patriotic and would have paintings of founding fathers or paintings that show the spirit of America and belief that God had his hand in the creation of the United States.
Though members of the Mormon faith have art, stories and literature that are very specific to their faith and culture, the truth is that both LDS people and other Christian denominations have much in common, especially when it comes to Christ. Other things they share are hymns, songs, poetry, and other inspirational quotes. LDS people sing many of the same hymns that would be sung in any other Christian churches.

Art is just one thing that Mormons and other Christians have in common to express their faith. It is important to look for similarities and remember that we are all children of God.

Trent Bowen is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints and is a collector of LDS media. He is the owner of http://www.prophetpaintings.com. He believes that LDS art can bless the lives of others.

There are innumerable self-help books available for purchase.  Lots of guides that promise you how to be smarter and sharper.  Even products that promise to improve your brain activity.

But none of them compare to what the Good Book, the Bible, has to say in just one simple, succinct verse:

“Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”

- Proverbs 9:10

In one verse, we get a guide for everything we should do in life.  Similar to WWJD? (What Would Jesus Do?), this simple, amazing verse from our amazing God tells us to fear the Lord…and he will reward us with wisdom.  Wisdom in every area of our lives!

It’s one more thing I love about our Lord.  He usually gives the best advice in very simple, easily understood verses.  There’s no ambiguity in that simple statement: FEAR of the Lord is the BEGINNING of wisdom.  Anyone can understand that!

So where does that wisdom end?  Well, it carries through in life.  You fear the Lord, and you’ll make wise decisions every day.  Consider what is really wise to do in life:

* Should I really spend so much time on the Internet, instead of spending valuable time with my family–or in the case of the workplace, doing my job?

* Should I really say the mean things I say?  If you don’t have anything nice to say–DON’T SAY IT!  God will reward you by preventing awful arguments and loss of reputation!

* Should I conserve all that money for wasteful, material things, INSTEAD of giving it to need people who really need it?

As you can see, the rewards of wisdom are great.  Not only will they promote you to good things, but they’ll keep you out of bad situations.  You’ll thank yourself for fearing the Lord!

The Greatest Wisdom

Of course, the wisest decision you can make that brings both blessing and prevents disaster–HELL–is to accept Jesus Christ as your one and only Savior.  He is the essence of not only wisdom and goodness, but also joy, peace, forgiveness, salvation.  Accept Him into your life right now, and I promise that you’ll live to enjoy the rewards of that very wise decision.

Fear the Lord, and be wise.  God bless you all!

Christian couples facing problems seek the guidance of God. Marriage counseling becomes inevitable for these couples who desperately want to tread on God’s path. Therefore, they need to consult good advisers in this field.

Lack of mutual communication with your partner can give rise to problems in your couple. More complicated issues like sex and lies can really aggravate the situation. In such situations, a counselor is mostly welcome.

Counselors who are not specifically religious will give you advice, but not those from God’s word. Christian marriage counseling has been the first choice of many couples who wanted to save their marriage.

Marriage and family counselors are now available in many churches and counseling centers. They do not only help you to find solutions to your problems. They will also help you to strengthen your marriage and you will be drawn nearer to God.

This is what the aim of a good Christian marriage counselor will be. You and your partner will get back together and you will gradually experience God. The priorities of your life will be clearer in your mind. So, you will both be better concentrated on things, which are of prime importance to you.

Do not think that time will heal things, and so, you will wait for your problems to vanish away. Do not be reluctant to quickly consult a Christian marriage counselor. It is their job to help you mend things in your relationship.

What you may find difficult to do is to persuade your partner that counseling is an essential tool that will help you both. Here, you may even ask the counselor for advice in order to know how you will make your partner agree.

Solve Your Marriage Problems

However, be humble and prepared to accept certain facts and truths. Even if some issues make you uncomfortable, you will have to discuss them. Do your best and accept the rest.

Make sure that a Christian marriage counseling program is at the top of your list if you are planning to have a Christian family.

Why does God so strictly speak against witchcraft, sorcery or other occult activities?
In the Bible we can read:
“I will set my face against the person who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute himself by following them, and I will cut him off from his people” (Leviticus 20:4)

“Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in withcraft, or cast spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord, and because of these detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you” (Deuteronomy 18:10-12)

First of all the origin comes from the first commandment. It says:

Paul says, in Rom. 15:4, “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning” (NKJV) as he writes to the saints (Christians) in Rome (Rom. 1:7 NKJV).  The prophetic book of Isaiah written hundreds of years before Christ can teach us much about God – what pleases him, what displeases him, his nature (who he is, what or how he feels, his thoughts), his sense of justice, etc.  I think most of us would like to know God better and Isaiah gives us that opportunity.  There are lessons for the church, God’s people, found in the very first chapter of Isaiah.

As Isaiah chapter one opens (Isa. 1:1) we learn that we are being told of a vision Isaiah saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem (God’s people in that Old Testament time).  I mention that for we must remember that we who are Christians are God’s people today so in terms of broad principles at least, versus specific laws, there is application for us here in Isaiah as well as for those who lived back then.  Here are some of the lessons found in the first chapter.

(1)  God’s people can cease to know him or understand him.  “The ox knows its owner and the donkey its master’s crib; but Israel does not know, my people do not consider.” (Isa. 1:3 NKJV)  Under the Law of Moses a child was born a Jew, a child of God, by physical birth.  He/she would have to grow into a knowledge of God and his will as they grew and matured and were taught.  Under the Christian dispensation one cannot become a child of God, a Christian, without first having obtained a knowledge of Christ.  “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.  It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’  Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me.” (John 6:44-45 NKJV)

However, I do not believe Isaiah is talking about an ignorance of God like I might have an ignorance of Chemistry or of Physics but rather a rejection based on the idea that things do not matter to God.  They had gradually, and it seems almost totally, drifted away from God in their belief that what he had said mattered or that he really cared about the things he had told them through the law and the prophets.

Here is the great lesson for the church and individual Christians today.  Have you ever heard it said, “I know what it (reference to the word of God) says but I don’t believe … it matters.”  I have heard it.  I wonder if people in Isaiah’s day were saying that sort of thing?  I once knew a lady who was gung ho on women preachers.  Paul said, “I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man.” (1 Tim. 2:12 NKJV)  What an inspired preacher had to say about the subject did not matter to her.  She rejected Paul but would have argued all day with you that she believed the Bible.

The Jews of Isaiah’s day had recreated God in their own image.  He would become what they wanted him to be.  We have to be very careful today lest we do the exact same thing.  When we begin to say things like that was then this is now, we have to adapt the Bible to modern times, etc., we are starting to travel a dangerous road.  Who is the man who is qualified to tell us what changes need to be made in the Christian faith and practice of today versus that of the first century as found in the pages of the New Testament?  There are many who feel they are qualified for they are busy telling us all the time what is allowable today even though unheard of in the New Testament but I have always been a little afraid of blind guides leading blind people.  That man has created his own brand of Christianity today to suit himself is found in the fact that there are hundreds if not thousands of denominations.  They all argue they know God.  Do you believe it?  I don’t.

Reminds me of the church of the Laodiceans in Rev. 3:14-19 in that Jesus said of them, “Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’ – and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked-“. (Rev. 3:17 NKJV)  The fact an individual or a church calls itself Christian and feels good about itself amounts to about 2 cents if that much.  The measuring stick is not man nor men (singular or plural) but the word of God.  Even Sardis had a name but Jesus said they were dead (Rev. 3:1); the majority of them like the people in Isaiah’s day had defiled their garments (Rev. 3:4).

There is only one way to know and understand God.  One must become a faithful and diligent student of the word of God, not just an occasional and casual reader.  One must believe what he reads which involves not only faith in facts that are presented but a trust in God and his promises.  One must act upon what he has learned which is to say he must be obedient to it and that from the heart.  To know and understand God is to accept God as God which means God over me – my God.  In Isaiah’s day God had been forsaken and despised (Isa. 1:4 ESV) for what he had taught no longer mattered.  A person or a group’s attitude toward the word of God can tell you a lot about them.

(2)  People who reject God may still hold worship services but do so in vain.  If one will read Isa. 1:11-15 it becomes clear that the people were still offering sacrifices, burnt offerings, incense, holding to the appointed feasts, observing the Sabbaths, etc.  These were divinely given acts of worship but God was not pleased for neither the heart nor the life was right in the worshippers.

God says, “I cannot endure iniquity and solemn assembly.” (Isa. 1:13 ESV)  He says their incense “is an abomination to me.” (Isa. 1:13 ESV)  Of the new moons and the appointed feasts he says he hates them (Isa. 1:14).

Worship is not acceptable to God that does not first come from a life of purity based on belief of and obedience to God through his word.  Please do not let my use of the word purity mislead you into thinking perfection.  Perfection is the goal but while man can obtain maturity in the Christian life he cannot obtain perfection in the sense in which we use the word today.  The idea Isaiah presents to us is of a people who were practicing iniquity.  Sin was a way of life with them.  Hypocrites cannot please God nor worship him in a manner acceptable to him.  To worship God acceptably one must be making a sincere effort to obey God and live the life.  “One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be an abomination.” (Prov. 28:9 NKJV)

We all would do well to memorize Prov. 28:9 just quoted for that is our status with God when we become involved in sin and have not or will not repent of it.  I would like to have people pray for me as I am sure you would as well if you are a believer but that said I know the prayers of a certain class that might pray for me would all be for naught.  Is your life such that if you had a family member in need of prayer you could pray with hope that the prayer would be accepted by God?  Are you the righteous man or woman whose prayer avails much (James 5:16)?

We also need to remember that while the application of the lesson is to the individual Isaiah was talking to people who as a group had almost all fallen into this category of iniquity.  The point is an entire body of people can fall into this classification, continue to worship God outwardly, and yet the worship be in vain.   “In vain they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.” (Matt. 15:9 NKJV)  Jesus spoke those words in Matthew but he said it was a prophecy of Isaiah and applied it to the people of his own time.  That said it is a truth that will always be applicable to those who will teach “as doctrines the commandments of men” and who still try to worship God while doing so.

(3)  A third lesson we can take from Isaiah 1 is that God gives man the ability and the opportunity to cleanse himself of sin.  “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes.  Cease to do evil, learn to do good.”  (Isa. 1:16 NKJV)  A little clarification is in order lest there be misunderstanding.  God is not saying that man has it in his own hands to cleanse himself of sin apart from God.  God is saying he will conditionally forgive them if they will meet the conditions and it is in their hands as to whether or not they will do so.

The Jews of that day did not have to be living a life of sin.  No one forced it on them.  They lived that way by choice.  Likewise, if they would, they could choose to live a life of godliness and righteousness.  They could wash themselves clean by complying with God’s laws of pardon under the Law of Moses but, of course, God would only accept those sacrifices made as an offering for sin if made in sincerity of heart from a penitent heart, a heart that had been genuinely changed, so the pardon was conditional.  God always has given accountable man responsibility for his own salvation.  There was never a time when salvation was unconditional.  (Of course all forgiveness under the Law of Moses looked forward to the atonement for sin made by Jesus on the cross – see Heb. 9:15, 10:1-4, Rom. 3:25.)

(4)  A fourth lesson is that God is able and willing to save the greatest of sinners if they will repent and turn to him seeking salvation in his appointed way.  “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isa. 1:18 NKJV)  The colors are put in contrast.  Scarlet is a reddish color, the color of blood, signifying great sin.  White is the color of purity.  The intent is to array opposites against one another.  God is saying even now as great as your sin has been I can cleanse you if you are but willing and I can cleanse you perfectly, completely.

We often forget that those who Peter said were guilty of taking Jesus by lawless hands and crucifying him were by faith and obedience to the gospel of Christ, preached by Peter on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2, forgiven of their sins and saved.  How much greater sin can one commit than that of crucifying Christ?  If one can be forgiven of that, cleansed, and made white as snow then men need not fear that their sin is too great for God’s forgiveness.

Elsewhere Paul gave himself as an example of one who had done great sin yet was forgiven by God.  He called himself chief of sinners (1 Tim. 1:15) and says he was forgiven (“obtained mercy”) so that in him Jesus “might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on him for everlasting life.” (1 Tim. 1:15 NKJV)  Isaiah teaches us today that sin is not so great that God cannot forgive or is unwilling to forgive.  The question lies not with God but with our willingness to give up sin and come to him.

I would also remind those who are backsliding Christians that Isaiah was writing to the people of God.  Isaiah teaches restoration of the penitent child of God.  “Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and her penitents with righteousness.” (Isa. 1:27 NKJV)  Sometimes children of God will wonder away and then have a desire to come home to God but have doubts they can do so, doubts he will have them.  The Bible teaches just the opposite.  It teaches his great desire to have them come home.

(5)  A fifth lesson I take from Isaiah chapter one (although there might well be others in addition should we pursue it in more depth) is that there is a penalty to be paid for rebellion and disobedience, for a life of sin from which one refuses to repent.  After Isaiah speaks of the penitents in Isa. 1:27, of their being saved, he goes on in the next verse and says, and I am going to quote from the NLT for its clarity in meaning, “But rebels and sinners will be completely destroyed, and those who desert the Lord will be consumed.” (Isa. 1:28 NLT)  Then in the last verse of the chapter, “They and their evil works will burn up together, and no one will be able to put out the fire.” (Isa. 1:31 NLT)

One cannot rebel against one’s creator, the God of the universe.  One will pay for his sin, “For the wages of sin is death.” (Rom. 6:23 NKJV)  One does not have to be a genius to know the New Testament teaches there is a hell reserved for the unrighteous.  It is sometimes called “the second death” or “the lake of fire” (see Rev. 20:14).  Jesus says there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matt. 25:30) and says on the Day of Judgment that those on his left hand will be told, “Depart from me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” (Matt. 25:41 NKJV)

Let me tell you a little story right here.  I stopped writing awhile ago and made a trip to the store.  I had the radio on and it just so happened there was a preacher on telling about another preacher who said that in their congregation they did not believe God would punish anyone.  They did not believe in a God like that.  What good does a Bible do a group of people like that?  Does it remind you of the people in Isaiah’s day?  Christianity is just a joke among people like that for how do you make a claim of being a believer, a believer in Christ, and hardly believe a word he says?

We have to remember it does not have to end this way for the sinner.  God “is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9 NKJV)  God would have “all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Tim. 2:4 NKJV)  That is why Christ was sent into the world and is what the cross is all about.  Nevertheless, if one remains rebellious there will be a penalty to be paid.

In conclusion while the book of Isaiah was not written directly to us today we can, nevertheless, learn a great deal from it and we ought to do that.  The first chapter tells us a lot about God.  If you are interested in God, and I hope you are for you need to be, and you are concerned about having a correct relationship with God then read and study Isaiah chapter 1.  It will help you.

Thousands of Christians nowadays tend to be experiencing some type of financial problems. You will discover several causes for this, some of which are beyond their control. Issues like a personal disease, loss of job, or maybe a family illness or death may account for their financial distress. Although for most of us it can be from just plain over spending. If an economic crisis hits it is recommended to seek out assistance from a Christian credit counseling agency.

These types of counselors are normally caring people prepared to assist with out expecting anything in return. They will offer you help in lowering your debt, settling all your charge cards in a timely manner plus supply you with the tools to control your finances which will enable you to get back on track.

A Christian debt counseling service can assist you in setting up a budget strategy. This might be a chart which monitors your cash flow. Using this type of chart you will be able to observe where you are spending too much money and this in turn will help you make the necessary changes. This will help you to save more so that you will be able to pay off your bills off quickly

We live in a modern society that encourages us to spend money now and then worry about paying it back later. Through the mail creditors will draw people in with a low interest rate and with little or no monthly payments. This leaves people shocked when they discover that they are in debt way over their means. Keeping track of what we spend by using a spending budget is prudent since it will allow us to properly manage our budget and keep our spending in check.

Christian debt management services can help you manage your expenses so that you will be living within your means. In the past before the use of credit cards became popular, it was obvious if you were overspending due to the overdrawn checkbook. The use of charge cards has made this a lot less apparent. and the best guidance you can get is to stop using your credit cards.

Christian counselors can motivate someone to seek God’s strength helping them manage their emotions to stop wasting money. Ask God to help you to keep an eye on on what you will be spending each day. Have Him reveal to you areas where you can control your spending, to get back on track. Before you buy something, pray and consider if you truly need it.

Perhaps you could take your lunch to work and resist the desire to buy that early morning latte. Meticulously look over your month-to-month expenses, to determine if you might discover some areas where you can cut expenses.

The end goal is to become content with what you have.

Does the thought of debt management and relief make your head spin? Well it doesn’t need to anymore. Through the competent help of Christian debt counseling individuals and couples alike can dig their way out of the mire of credit card debt. A reputable counselor can provide the necessary advice to help consolidate debt and give guidance for future Christian debt management.

I remember a deacon of a Christian church I once attended had the following to say about Christian church advertising. “If you have the word of God preached you would not require whatever advertising.” It is instead funny to me that the self same church now has signs placed all over town advertising their singings.

I am not saying they do not have the word of The Lord being preached. I just want to show you how souls feel about Christian church advertising. While one person will say you do not require it another will say it is vital. So how come is there such a debate in the first place?

The answer to that is a simple misunderstanding of the word faith I believe. You see one group believes that if a church advertises they are not showing faith in God the Father to bring individuals in. This type of thinking says that The Lord is the one who will grow the church.

I do agree that The Lord will grow His Christian church but I think we forget that He has commissioned us to be the workers to do it. You see faith is not simply believing something. Faith is believing something and behaving accordingly. I trust our business is to go into the highways and byways to invite souls to The Lord. Because of that I act by advertising to those people.

Christian church advertising is not something that is simply done to draw people into a club or to by something. This is one other cause individuals do not like Christian churches advertising. It is because they are used to mortals pushing things on them they do not desire. The difference is that the Christian church is offering eternal life. Who does not want that?

So while we try to not be like everyone else we forget that the bible tells we should be as wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove. This is where church advertising gets tricky. This is because we require to compel people to come to Jesus while not attacking them and pushing them away.

The gospel truth is we have to advertise in this world we live in. No one can discover you without a guide since the church is no longer at the center of every town like it was in days gone by. Cause this is real you should not hesitate to put an advertisement in the telephone book or local paper. Advertising will save your church.

Remember what I told about faith? If you have faith that your church will grow what are you doing to act in accordance with that? Are you a piece of the Christian churches increase or not? This is how come we require everyone in our Christian churches helping to advertise for us.

Think of what would have happened to the Christian church is Paul never advertised. If he never went out and made known he was a Christian and wanted others to be as well where would we be? We want souls who are not afraid to use any entails available to get our message out to the world!

If you hope to see your church thriving in the future then you must begin your Christian church advertising this day. If you expect anyone to yet be visiting your Christian church in the future what are you doing to make for sure they do? Church advertising is how you draw mortals in. If it is nothing more than word of mouth advertising or if it is some grand advertising campaign you still owe it to The Lord to act now.

For those that want to teach their children about their religious beliefs in a school like setting, there is nothing better then using the christian home school curriculum. If you can afford it, a Christian private school may be the way to go but the costs of something like that can run anywhere from three hundred dollars a month to a few thousand dollars a month.
If you are one of the people who want the same values and orals taught but cannot afford private school there is the option of the christian home school curriculum. Being this is a free home school curriculum, it is a wonder why more and more parents are not opting for the christian home school curriculum. The thing is though that there seems to be an increasing number of families who have to have both parents working outside of the home.
This makes it hard for those who want to give their children the christian home school curriculum because they have to be at work. There is the option of hiring someone to come sit with your children as their tutor so that there can be christian home school curriculum in the home.
Things That You Will Want To Keep In Mind
It is sad but too many times there are parents who end up letting their children run the show in terms of when they will do school work and when they feel like doing nothing at all. When it comes down to it, the christian home school curriculum is only going to do the child good if it is being taught and being taught on a regular basis. If the education is hit and miss then the child is not learning everything he or she should be learning.
Also, this does not set a good example of how to be responsible and this could affect the child well in their adult life and cause him or her a lot of problems. Also, while the christian home school curriculum is a wonderful thing, there is always going to be that little bit of something that is missing from the day’s education.
There is a lot to be learned and gained by attending school with people from all races, genders, and spiritual backgrounds. By getting to know other people from different backgrounds, your child could end up much more prepared for the real world once they are thrown into it and that is something that is very important.

A BIG SURPRISE is Coming for the Whole World

This is not a possibility declaration. This is a for-certain pronouncement: The entire world will stand in awe at the next event prophesied in the Bible. Bible teachers and preachers have been declaring the message for decades, even centuries. Jesus Christ is going to come back for His Church suddenly and unexpectedly, even as a

The Foreigner woman in Bible versus Quran (13)

This is the thirteenth article of the series: “The Foreigner woman in Bible versus Quran”

In the previous articles, we have seen that from the Language point of view, the “foreign” woman is the alien or the exotic or the outsider woman.  However, the Bible has another notion.   As confirmed by the Bible, the “foreign” woman is the non-Israelite woman or the non-Jewish woman.

As a result, any non-Israelite or any non-Jewish woman is a “foreign” woman.

This indicates that the women in the Bible are but one of two categories; they are either Legitimate (genuine) or Foreign (strange).

In the present article, we will analyze and discuss the translation of one verse that talks about both the “the foreign woman” and the “strange women” in 18 different versions of the Bible.  Although this issue needs some persistence and alertness; however, it deserves studying to prove how incorrectly the translators of some Biblical versions did their Job in reference to the original Hebrew Scripture.

Very simply, the verse, Proverbs 2:16, says:

“It will save you from the foreign woman, from the stranger who flatters with her words”

This is the straightforward translation of the original Hebrew verse that mentions both “the foreign woman” and the “stranger who flatters with her words”.

Herein, we will talk about the translation of the above simple verse.

This verse is composed of two parts: “It will save you from the foreign woman, + from the stranger who flatters with her words”

Now, let us see how do 18 Biblical versions translate these two parts of the above verse?

(1) How do 18 Biblical versions translate foreign woman?

Foreign woman is translated to

Strange woman in six versions
Alien woman in one version
Adulteress (adulterous woman who commits adultery) in four versions
Immoral woman in two versions
Forbidden woman in two versions
Temptress in one version
Sinful woman in one version
Unfaithful wife in one version

(2) How do 18 Biblical versions translate the stranger who flatters with her words?

The stranger, who flatters with her words in six versions,
The outsider with her flattering words in one version,
The wayward wife (woman) with her seductive words in three versions,
The adulteress who flatters with her words in one version;
The adulteress with her smooth words in one version,
The unfaithful wife who tries to lead you into adultery with pleasing words in one version.
The Temptress— that smooth-talking Seductress Who’s faithless to the husband she married years ago in one version,
The smooth talk of a sinful woman in one version,
A sinful wife and her tempting words in one version.
The seductress who flatters with her words in one version,
The seductive words of the promiscuous woman in one version.

About the Biblical Translation of “Foreign woman”

1) Adultery is violation of the marriage bed; it is the voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and someone other than his or her lawful spouse.

However, New International Version and New American Standard Bible translate “foreign woman” to “adulteress” while New International Reader’s Version translates it to “woman who commits adultery” and Today’s New International Version translates it to adulterous woman.

2) The Immoral person is the bad, wicked, dissolute, dissipated, profligate one who acts contrary to or does not obey or conform to standards of morality and social ethics.  However, New King James Version and New Living Translation translate “foreign woman” to “immoral woman”.

3) The Forbidden thing is the thing that is banned, not allowed; outlawed, prohibited, not approved, not authorized and/or not permitted. Examples are the forbidden food in religion, the forbidden smoking, the Forbidden books and the forbidden transition in Physics. However, English Standard Version and Holman Christian Standard Bible translate “foreign woman” to “Forbidden woman”.

4) The Temptress is the alluring woman, bewitching woman, the dangerously seductive woman, the enticing woman and/or the woman who tempts. However, the Biblical Version, the Message translates the “foreign woman” to The Temptress.

5) Unfaithful means cheating, deceitful, double-crossing, faithless, false, false-hearted, fickle, foresworn, inconstant, incontinent, moonlighting, not true to, of bad faith, perfidious, philandering, recreant, shifty, snaky, sneaking, traitorous, treacherous, treasonable, two-faced, two-timing, unchaste, unreliable, untrue, untrustworthy, wicked. However, New Century Version translates the “foreign woman” to the “unfaithful wife.”

Conclusion:

1) The 18 Biblical versions studied could not translate 11 simple Hebrew words correctly.

2) 12 Biblical versions translate “foreign” woman to adulterous woman, immoral woman, Forbidden woman, sinful woman, Temptress and unfaithful wife.

Herein, we have two questions for the translators of the Bible:

Are the “foreign” non-Jewish women adulterous, immoral, Forbidden woman, sinful, Temptress and unfaithful.
Are not your translations hurts the non-Jewish women?

3) It should be emphasized that I did not make any comment(s) on the different “wrong” translations of the stranger who flatters with her words; I think that the example of the varied translations of the Foreign woman is just sufficient to make the smart reader aware about the fact that the Bible translators are but wrong.

Church advertising is not that difficult of a matter to master. The objective is really crystal clear that you are looking for more mortals to visit your Christian church. The method of getting them in may be a little bit more obscure though. Either way your last advertising scheme may have failed.

The causes a Christian churches advertising might not work as well as you would hope could really well be the result of some possibilities. It should not be hard to discover out where you are going incorrect even though if you pursue a step-by-step church advertising plan. Having more than simply $200 a month may help too of course but we will get to that later.

We are going to dive into this Christian church advertising list and I hope you can get some fantastic ideas from it. You see there is a method to the madness of advertising. You do not just go out and start throwing flyers around. Instead you want to get some planning done first of all.

The first matter on your Christian church advertising list is going to be church marketing. This is the foundation of all advertising. Marketing is where you discover out whom your audience is and how to reach them. So before you do any advertising make for certain you know who is going to be affected by it.

I have seen far too some churches just assuming their target is everyone. This might be true in the grand scheme of things but not for each individual church. Instead we ought recall that our churches advertising wants to be different than anyone else. The reason for this is cause your church may be one piece of the body of Jesus that does a certain business reaching certain people.

So take time to survey your community. Get a list united of the sort of individuals around. This will go a long way to the success of your church advertising campaign.

The next step might surprise you. It is not time to get an advertisement ready. Instead it is time to do some inner marketing in your Christian church. You want to get to recognize who is already in your church. It is important cause when you attempt to bring more souls in they want to be able to mix well and stay.

So take note of the type of souls already in your Christian church. Imagine them out in the community and not knowing about your church. What would reach them? Recall your advertisements are not going to go after everyone or even maybe the largest number of individuals in your community. You should concentrate on souls who are like those you already have.

Now you are ready to get your Christian church advertising tools ready. When you did your inner marketing what was the overwhelming way these people already came? I have no doubt they showed up through word of mouth most frequently. That means this form of advertising ought be the first of all you use.

Having each member hand individuals business cards of your church is a tremendous way to get word of mouth advertising going. So I recommend every Christian church use this method as frequently as capable. It may be the best tool to get things rolling.

Now is there anything else you noticed about the mortals who are like them in your community? Perhaps they spend most of their days at home? Perhaps they like to go out to the movies? Wherever they are that is where you want to go.

I would recommend a church website for those communities where souls spend most of their time online. You could use numerous different on the net advertising methods to get their attention. Church advertising flyers might be good for individuals who like to drive around town. Passing them out along side the road can be a tremendous publicity maker.

Exactly recollect to get the marketing done before you do any church advertising. That will help you succeed and not fail.

God has engraved your name on the palm of His hand. He knew you before you were formed in your mother

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

This is the twelfth article of the series: “The Foreigner woman in Bible versus Quran”

In the present article, we will analyze and discuss the translation of one verse that talks about the “strange women” in 18 different versions of the Bible.  Although this issue needs some patience and watchfulness; however, it deserves studying to prove how incorrectly the translators of some Biblical versions did their Job in reference to the original Hebrew Scripture.

Very simply, the verse, Ezra 10:2, says “…we had betrayed our God and we have taken strange women of the peoples of the land…”  This is the unembroidered translation of the original Hebrew verse

Herein, we will talk about the translation of the above 12 words.

These 12 words make up a very simple and easy phrase that is composed of four parts ” we had betrayed our God + we have taken + strange women + of the peoples of the land”.

Now, let us see how do 18 Biblical versions translate the above 12 words of the verse?

(1) How do 18 Biblical versions translate we had betrayed our God?

We betrayed our God in one version (The Message).

We have been unfaithful to our God (in seven versions).

We have trespassed against our God (in five versions).

We have broken faith with our God (in one version).

We have acted unfaithfully toward our God (in one version).

We haven’t been faithful to our God (in one version).

We have disobeyed God (in one version).

We have broken faith and dealt treacherously against our God (in one version).

(2) How do 18 Biblical versions translate we have taken?

Only four out of 18 Biblical versions translate we have taken correctly; while 13 versions translate we have taken to we have married or by marrying (in six and seven versions respectively). One version translates it to “we settle”. Literally, “we have taken” is quite different from “we have married”.

(3) How do the 18 Biblical versions translate strange women?

In Hebrew, the word pronounced as “No-kh-re-yoat” is the plural of the English word “stranger”.  Also, the word pronounced as “Za-roat” is the plural of the English word “Foreign”.  Both “No-kh-re-yoat” and “Za-roat” are used in the Hebrew version when talking about the strange women and the foreign women respectively.

The Hebrew verse of Ezra 10:2 used “No-kh-re-yoat” women, i.e. strange women. However, only two Biblical versions out of 18 Biblical versions translate it correctly.

In two Biblical versions, strange women are translated to pagan women!

Strange women is translated in the other 14 versions as foreign women (in Nine versions), foreign wives (in three versions) or “just” women (in two versions) etc.

I wonder why the translators of 15 Biblical versions could not translate such a simple word.

(4) How do the 18 Biblical versions translate the peoples of the land?

The peoples of the land in nine versions
The peoples around us in four versions
The nations that are around us, the surrounding peoples and the people around here in one version each.
However, the strangest translation was in two Biblical versions that translate it to “pagan women of the land”.  According to the original Hebrew verse, “pagan women” is not the Word of God.
In addition, Contemporary English Version does not translate it!

Upon Comparing King James Version with New King James Version and 21st Century King James Version, you find that “strange wives ” in King James Version became ” pagan wives ” in New King James Version and “foreign wives” in 21st Century King James Version.

However, when comparing the American Standard Version with the New American Standard Bible, you find no changes between the two versions; they both used the term “foreign women”.

Conclusion:

1) The 18 Biblical versions studied could not translate 12 simple Hebrew words correctly.

2) In two Biblical versions (New King James Version and New Living Translation), “strange” women are translated to “pagan” women.

In Language, Pagan is an irreligious, uncultured, uncivilized or hedonistic person. Also, pagan is an unconverted individual of a people that do not acknowledge the God of the Bible.  Of course there is a very big difference between strange and Pagan!

Herein, we have two questions for the translators of New King James Version and New Living Translation:

Are strange women Pagan? Are all the non-Jewish women Pagan?
Is not your translation hurts the non-Jewish women?

I like baptist sermons that are powerful and make you shout. Like the ones our grandparents talked about. You maybe asking yourself, they don’t exist anymore. Well brother or sister they still do and I want to tell you where you can find great preachers that are just like that.

I live in the south where all of that great old southern preaching came from and it’s still around, you just got to look hard sometimes to find a good church like that. What is it that you are looking for, I know for myself I wanted to find a church that had a choir. That was important to me because I wanted to get involved in the choir, so once again, what are you looking for. If you are looking for that good old baptist sermons then you must keep looking and visiting churches that are baptist and they stick to the KJV bible. If you go to a Independent Baptist church then the chance is very good that you will get that good old preaching.

The bible is the word of God and we the Independent Baptist church keeps Gods word and we don’t change just because it is popular. We don’t listen to music from the world or put ourselves in places that would make God look bad. We are temples of God and we must not be like the world, we must be different. The music we do listen to is mostly southern gospel or bluegrass gospel music. Like I said we like the old ways and once you get the Holy Spirit from the good old baptist sermons you will never want to go back. It’s a way of life to live for the Lord that is great, I wish for you that you could feel like I do right now.

God does not change and we should not change just because the young people don’t like it. Remember when we where kids, we did not like church either but the young folks need to learn it’s about God, we don’t go to church to be entertained or hear some christian rock concert, it’s about God Jesus Christ.

Hi, my name is Anthony and I’m a IFB that’s Independent Fundamental Baptist, we got the good old ways. Learn the right road to Jesus Christ here. http://www.baptistcalvary.com

Can you find funny Bible quotes in the Bible? Even though it is not a book for jokes or humor, you can still find some funny phrases and stories inside the Bible. They are some of the most entertaining Christian funny quotes you can find.

So why it is so? Does God want to tell us it is good and encouraged to have fun and enjoy ourselves? Does you want to tell us he is not that serious and strict that some of us may think? You can think anyway you like, but the fact is we can find many funny quotes in the Bible.

Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.” He said to them, “Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water. “

Jonah had been given a task by God to go and talk to the people of Nineveh. Telling them to change their wicked ways or God would destroy their city. But instead of going east across the desert to Nineveh, Jonah tried to run away from God. He found a boat going west to Spain. But God sent a storm and the sailors had to throw Jonah overboard.

Jonah went down, down into the sea. No doubt he thought he would surely die because of his disobedience. But God loved Jonah, and He still had a work for him to do. He prepared a big fish to swallow him just in time to keep him from drowning. The Bible does not say what type of fish it was and we do not need to know. There are many large sea monsters that could swallow a man.

Here in the stomach of this big fish, Jonah prayed. One of his prayers is written down for us and is quoted fifteen times in the book of Psalms. Jonah was inside the fish for three days and three nights. The Lord Jesus spoke about this when he was here on earth (Matthew 12:40). He said that as Jonah was in the fish three nights and three days so He would be in the grave for three days and three nights. After he had prayed and after he had been in the fish all this time, the Lord spoke to the fish. It opened its great mouth, and Jonah came out upon dry land.

When Jonah was safe again on the dry land, God spoke to him a second time. He told him to go to Nineveh and preach to the people the message that He would give for them. This time Jonah obeyed. It must have taken him several days to travel across the desert to Nineveh. He went inside the great city walls and began to walk through the city. As he walked he called out God’s message, “Yet, forty days and Nineveh shall be over-thrown!”

The people of Nineveh listened and were afraid. They believed God’s Word. They took off their fine clothing and put on rough sackcloth to show their sorrow and fear because of their sins. Word came to the king of Jonah’s preaching. He too repented and asked everyone in the kingdom not to eat or drink for a time, but to confess their sins to God and turn from their wickedness, so perhaps God would spare them.

When God saw that they were sorry for their sins and that they had turned away from their evil ways, He forgave them and did not destroy their city. When Jonah saw that God did not destroy their city, he was very angry, for he wanted God to destroy them. He prayed, “O Lord, this is why I did not want to come here in the first place. I knew that you are a merciful and very kind God. And now I would rather die than live, since my word has not come true.” Johan went out of the city and made a little booth of branches to protect him from the hot sun.

Then he sat down to watch if God would destroy the city after all. The Lord prepared a gourd, a fast growing plant with very large leaves. This gave Jonah some shade which he was very grateful for. Next day God sent a worm to eat the plant which soon died. Then God sent a very strong east wind. The sun beat down on Jonah’s head, and the hot, dry wind blew upon him. Jonah fainted because of the heat. God said to him, “You have been sorry about the gourd, and it only lasted a day. But you have been angry because I spared the people of Nineveh where there are little children and old people.”

God was saying to Jonah, “Each one of these has a precious soul that will live forever. I love them just as I love you, and I want them to be saved.”

I once had a very interesting conversation with one of my brothers:

“Chekhov,” I called.

“Yeah?” my brother replied.

“I have a question for you. Do you think Christ entered the toilet regularly just like everyone else?” I asked.

“Of course, He did,” was his answer. He answered me as if I asked him that question the hundredth time but I know that it was his first time to give thought to questions as such.

I continued, “Christ often traveled and passed through mountains and valleys. Do you think there were times that Christ was somewhere on a mountain and He felt that He needed to urinate or defecate? Do you think Christ urinated or defecated on some mountain?”

He thought for a moment and then said, “Yes, I believe so.” My father, who was listening to our conversation, snickered each time I asked such questions.

I asked my brother further, “If Christ defecated somewhere on a mountain, how do you think did He manage the process?”

He thought for a second and said, “I don’t know.” To compensate for his not knowing, he gave me a short “lecture” about Jewish sanitation systems and why the Jews were not affected by the Bubonic Plague which affected all of Europe.

After he finished, I asked more rhetorical questions. “Do you think Christ used some sort of tissue paper whenever He was in the toilet or whenever He defecated somewhere else? Are you familiar with the toiletries that people used by that time?” He said that of course, Christ didn’t use tissue paper because it wasn’t invented yet and then he said that he is not familiar with the toiletries that the Jews used. I confessed that neither do I.

I thought I asked enough questions about Christ and how He managed His elimination so I asked a question about a slightly different matter. I asked him, “Do you think Christ farted just like everyone else?”

“Yes, He did,” was his hesitant reply.

“Do you think Christ farted in front of His disciples?” I asked.

“I don’t think so. I think He distanced Himself from His disciples whenever He felt like farting,” he doubtfully answered. I assumed that he meant Christ knew how to be polite as He is the author of it.

I then asked, “How do you think would Christ react if He saw a curvaceous naked young woman?” My father who snickered at my questions, didn’t snicker at this question and expressed ideas which are different when compared to my brother’s, so, I didn’t delve into this question, nevertheless, I’m sure that Christ had hormones just like everyone else… which means…

Anyway, I asked the following questions too which made my father snicker more: Do you think Christ experienced sneezing? If He did, how often? Do you think Christ burped or belched after enjoying a meal? Do you think Christ experienced yawning, yawping, or gaping as a result of tiredness, drowsiness or sleepiness? Who washed His clothes? Did He wash His clothes or did someone else do the washing for him? How often and how long do you think He took a bath? Do you think He used some sort of soap? Where did He do his bathing? How did He do it? Did He often scrub Himself? If He did, did He use His hands or some sort of a scrubber? Did He ever pick His nose? If He did, did He do it in public?

As a side note, Christ Himself spoke of the elimination process (Mat. 15:17; Mark 7:19) and of “eating and drinking” (Mat. 11:19; Lk. 7:34).

I can think of more questions regarding Christ’s life “in the flesh” but I think I asked my brother enough rhetorical questions to make my point. I asked such questions because I want Christ, His words and especially the following passage to be real to him: “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth (Jn 1:14).”

When it comes to size, men are nothing but imperceptible specks of dust compared to the planet. Compared to the Milky Way galaxy where earth is located, the earth is nothing but an imperceptible particle. Compared to the universe, the Milky Way galaxy is an absolutely imperceptible nano-particle. Being an infinitesimal speck of dust myself, I can’t make an understandable comparison of the size of an atom to the size of the universe. I can only wonder how the Word who was with God in the beginning-the Word who is also God through whom the universe was made (John 1)-the Son of God -the Lord of Lords and King of Kings- Jesus Christ, was made an imperceptibly infinitesimal speck of dust and dwelt among infinitesimal specks of dust (if I may put it that way)!

King David said: “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen-even the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas (Ps. 8:3-8).”

Apostle Paul wrote to the Hebrews: “But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone (Heb. 2:9).”

“Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage (Heb. 2:14-15).”

“Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted (Heb. 2:17-18).”

Unlike Christ, we commit a lot of sins, nonetheless, like Him, at least, we also felt hunger and enjoyed fine food; we also felt thirst and enjoyed refreshing drinks; we also experienced weariness and regained our strength and so on and so forth. Apostle Paul wrote to the Hebrews: “Seeing that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin (Heb. 4:14-15).”

Because the Word through whom all things were made was “made flesh,” flesh perceived Him as nothing but flesh as apostle John said: “He [Christ] was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own [the Jews], and His own did not receive Him.”

One of the most commonly misunderstood terms today is the term “antichrist”. Like many others, I originally thought the term was just the title of a tyrant that will rule the world during the end times. However, after questioning my assumption and rereading the Bible, I developed a new understanding of the term. In this article I discuss the meaning of the term “antichrist” and the various names that the individual who we call “the Antichrist” goes by in the Bible.

The Title “Antichrist”

The term “antichrist” appears in only three passages in the entire Bible: 1 John 2:18-22, 1 John 4:2-3, and 2 John 1:7. The term “antichrist” in Greek means “against Christ” or in “opposition of Christ”.

John labeled people who denied that Jesus is the Christ and that Jesus came in flesh as an “antichrist” in 1 John 2:18-22 and 2 John 1:7. For example, John wrote in 1 John 2:18: “…ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists…”

John did not call these people antichrist because they are all destined to be a future world tyrant. John called these people antichrist because their denial made them opposed to Christ. Therefore, John’s usage of the term in this context was appropriate given the basic Greek meaning of the term.

The Antichrist Spirit

John also applied the term “antichrist” to spiritual beings in 1 John Chapter 4. John wrote that every spirit that denies Jesus came in flesh is a “spirit of antichrist”: “And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”

This statement is similar to John’s statement that any person that denies that Jesus came in flesh is an antichrist. However, John added another important statement at the end of verse 4:3 when he wrote “whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world”. This statement revealed that the spirit of antichrist was already in the world during John’s time. “The spirit of antichrist” in this context does not refer to any ordinary spirit that denies that Jesus came in the flesh. This spirit is associated with the coming figure that is commonly called “the Antichrist” today.

Antichrist: The Future Tyrant

As mentioned earlier, most view the term “antichrist” as just the title of a tyrant that will rule the world during the end times. Given what we’ve already found in this study, you probably wonder where the tradition of people referring to this future tyrant as “the Antichrist” came from.

John wrote in 1 John 2:18 that “you have heard that antichrist shall come”. The reference here is to an individual who will oppose Christ in the future. Therefore, we can trace the practice of Christians referring to a future tyrant as the Antichrist back to John’s day.

The man that will assume the position of Antichrist is mentioned throughout the Old Testament and New Testament under several aliases. He is the “man of sin” (2 Thessalonians 2:3), the beast from the abyss (Revelation 17), the “king of fierce countenance” (Daniel 8:23), the “little horn” (Daniel 7:24-25), the man that confirms a covenant with Israel during the 70th Week of Daniel (Daniel 9:27), the king of the north (Daniel 11:35-45), the “king of Babylon” (Isaiah 14:4), “Gog” (Ezekiel 38 and 39), and the man whose number equals to 666 in (Revelation 13:17-18).

Conclusion

People have speculated about who will be the Antichrist since Christ departed Earth. However, most people fail to realize that antichrists have been on Earth all along. People and spirits who oppose Jesus Christ have been around since New Testament times, including the spirit of Antichrist mentioned in 1 John 4. Nevertheless, during the end times mankind will face a tyrant who has been referred to as “Antichrist” since John’s day.

We’ve talked about what a podcast is and some reasons why podcasting is relevant for churches, but what exactly should your church do for a podcast. There isn’t one specific answer. Every church has its own identity, its own strengths and weaknesses, and its own budget. So, you will have to decide what kind(s) of podcasting is best for your church, but here are a few ideas to get you going.

1. Sermon Podcasts:

This is probably the bare minimum any church should do if they are going to do any podcasting. A sermon podcast is simply using your weekly sermon as the podcast. One of the great things about the sermon podcast is that it requires NO ADDITIONAL PREP TIME. You’re already going to have a sermon, so why not record it. A lot of churches already record their sermons, so why not podcast it. If your church already records your sermons, then podcasting the sermons will probably only take an additional 5-10 minutes.

2. Recorded Bible Study Or Other Class Podcast:

This is along the same lines as the sermon podcast in that you would simply record something that you are doing already and turn it into a podcast, however, this may require a little more work. Most churches don’t record their Bible studies (or other classes) already, so you would have to figure out the best way to record. You also want to be sure to discuss the idea with all those involved in the class especially if their questions/

In The End Time, God manifest in the flesh forementioned that the prayer of the holy-minded conquers together with Him. The Atoning Sacrifice for our Sins said, as long as the the good appreciate he will defend. The Rose of Sharonaforementioned what you require in my identify I desire undertake it. The Lamb of God beforementioned, demand any one thing in my appellative and I will dispatch it. The Son of God uttered that he would imbalance heaven and earth upside down to keep safe the unblamable as long as they put trust in Him. In apocalypse Chapter 8, The Yah -Nissi in The Stem of Jesse takes repayment on the earth in the welfare of the Church. The earth is turn to an unfriendly estate for the Church. The seed of evil doers have discredited and repudiated the testimonial of the Church. This wicked and perverse generation have plagued and murderedChristians for their asseveration and piety to The Lamb of God. The Church was annoyed and offended every day by the vilifying preterition and without remorse life style of evil doers in the earth. The devotion of the Christian Church has all the while been: God manifest in the flesh let your dominion issue forth. dispense your desire stand finished up in earth as in heaven. This purehearted invocation means that the Christian choice is that heavenly-mindedness cover the earth as the waters enshroud the sea. The mountains are running into the sea, and the megacosm is fusing with the sun, moon and stars evaporate as the new heaven and new earth, appeared with Yah-Rohi out of heaven, wherein resides purity. The entreaty of the unsullied is efficacious. The plea of the blameless is effective because it is petition and supplication that fits the reputation of Yah-Rohi. Spiritual-minded imprecation blends in with the complexion of Yah -Nissi. The nature of Yah -Sabaoth is absolute confidence and assurance void of doubt and wavering. Yah -Nissi is like a rock that stands on its own. Scripture says, those he who pray to Yah -Nissi must admit that He is creative and foreconscious immanent, and that he honor those that unfalteringly want to know Him. Whoever requeston the name of Our Great God and Savior shall be emancipated from divine prosecution.

In End Time, the saints asked Our Great God and Savior, when was He going to take retaliation on evil doers which murdered them. The interaction to the plea is in Revelation chapter 8. In this vision an angel of God standing at the golden retablo of spice, presents a golden censer to the Lord of lords containing rogationof saints. The petition of saints ascended to Yah-Jireh as a sweet smelling perfume. Godly pleasmells good to El-Elyon. Uncorrupt appealmakes Yah-Rohismile. Undefiled orisonmakes the the Horn of Salvation in Yah -Shalom, move on His throne. When the righteous call, El-Olam will not constraint Himself. The the Lion of the Tribe of Judah in Yah -Shalom will speedily attend to the imprecation of the Godly , being as how the Righteous lean upon Yah -Shalom. They lean on and have hope in Yah-Jireh. The Undefiled rest in Yah-Hoseenu. The Godly adore Yah-Mekaddishkem and obey His commandments. The The Last Adam in Yah -Sabaoth, said that He would never leave behind the Undefiled , and He will finish off the nation and kingdom that dishonor them. As the deer pant after for the water brook and seeks to quench his thirst, so the Unblamable thirst and want after Adonai-Yah. The the of the Ages in Yah-Rohi has convinced the Godly-minded , that previous to their call he will allege in support. He said solicit me and I will divide the nations for your property, and cause you to ride upon all the coheirship of Jacob. Yah-Rohi said to the godly-minded I give you claim over the evil genius, and nothing shall cripple you. The Yah-Elohim in the King Eternal said, it better to lop a millstone by way of the neck and fall on into the sea, then it is to harass the Seven Golden Candle Sticks of the living El-Elyon. The house of prayer is the apple of Yah

There is a growing debate around the area concerning education kids and teens receive at private schools in Palm Beach versus the Palm Beach county public schools. Many parents are curious as to what the difference really is. Private schools in Palm Beach have a lot of benefits to offer and are able to put into practice more special academic and extracurricular programs. Also, there is the ability to hire more talented teachers. The reason private schools in Palm Beach have the ability to do all of this is because they have more money in their school systems acquired by student tuitions.

Should all the children go to private schools in Palm Beach? Probably not, but your child might benefit if he or she seems to be getting

You’ll find normally some embarrassing moments in a very person’s life, usually from their childhood, that a person can for no reason forget. I had some of these, and one that sticks out from my younger days involves a plaid skirt. I had placed it on to go to Sunday School, and though I wasn’t sure how to do it proper, my mom told me it was okay, and we went to church as was our tradition each week. I guess I didn’t recognize at that level that knots are never as sturdy as you imagine these are, and such a skirt needs to be readjusted every so regularly’t.

I made it as a result of most from the day just fine, and I really didn’t think about my plaid skirt very much. I have never really been overly concerned with my clothing, even though I at all times do like to glimpse nice. As young as I was even though, I was a great deal more concerned about talking with friends and taking part in the lessons. At the end of the day we sang together and then left to go house. Right after we were executed signing, I stood up, but my plaid skirt did not.

I didn’t realize that I had lost my plaid skirt has occur undone until I had taken a couple of steps from my seat. I suddenly felt somewhat chilly, but had no idea why. I looked down and I wasn’t wearing something on the bottom but my undies and my nylons. I froze when I realized I had lost my plaid skirt, and that I honestly wasn’t positive when it happened. I looked back and it was on my seat. I got it back on as speedy as I could, but I never wore it right after that and will not wear one to this day. No 1 truly laughed, but it was humiliating to me none the less.

Even even though I don’t wear them anymore, there are some outstanding ones in existence, and I can see why some several love them. An excellent plaid skirt can glimpse genuinely beneficial, and there are lots of terrific styles that come up all of the time. You can get a plaid skirt in a lovely but casual style, or you can discover some that go great with evening wear. They are also perfect for the beach when you want something to go over your suit when you are carried out going into the water. Don’t allow my expertise make you think twice, just remember to double check that your skirt is secure a few times throughout the day.

This is the seventh article of the series:

“The Foreigner woman in Bible versus Quran”

In the previous articles of this series, we have seen that Language-wise, the “foreign” woman or the “strange” woman is the alien or the exotic or the outsider woman.  However, the Bible has another opinion.

As confirmed by the Bible, the “foreign” woman or the “strange” woman is the non-Israelite woman or the non-Jewish woman.

As a result, all non-Israelite or all the non-Jewish women are “foreign” women or “strange” women.

This indicates that the women in the Bible are but one of two categories; they are either Legitimate (genuine) or Foreign (strange).

According to the inspired word of God, the Bible gives three examples of the foreign women; all of them were prostitutes.

As a matter of fact, all the foreign women in the Old Testament save Ruth are prostitutes or evil or robbers and they are unfaithful and they lead to death.

The first foreign woman was Rahab, the prostitute, who welcomed the spies and helped them against her country.

The second foreign woman, a prostitute, was the mother of Jephthah, a mighty man of valor who delivered Israel from the oppression of the Ammonites and judged Israel six years.

The third foreign woman was from Gaza. One day Samson went to Gaza, where he saw a prostitute. He went in to spend the night with her.

The most important one of these foreign women is Rahab the prostitute as the Bible calls her.

Rahab in the Old Testament (Joshua 2 and 6)

Joshua sent two spies to spy Jericho. They went and entered the house of a prostitute named Rahab and stayed there.  This Biblical verse throws some light about the importance of the women especially the prostitutes in the “world of spies”.   The king of Jericho sent this message to Rahab: “Bring out the men who came to you and entered your house, because they have come to spy out the whole land.

After invading Jericho, Joshua commanded: The city and all that is in it are to be totally destroyed. Only Rahab the prostitute and all who are with her in her house shall be spared, because she hid the spies.

Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country, Go into the prostitute‘s house, and bring out thence the woman, and all that she has, as you swore unto her.

And Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute, with her family and all who belonged to her; because she hid the men Joshua had sent as spies to Jericho; and she lives among the Israelites.  And Joshua destroyed with the sword every living thing in Jericho, men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys.

Rahab in the New Testament

1) Matthew puts Rahab the prostitute, in the Genealogy of the Lord Jesus, as being one of family tree of the Lord Jesus.

2) Paul says: By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.

3) James says: even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them out by another way?

Rahab and Jericho; her citizenship was violated to the highest degree

Rahab was a Jericho citizen, she changed to the side of Jericho’s enemy and helped the spies; she did not listen to her king. She is a collaborator in the total destruction of her city.  Was she a turncoat to her country, was she an agent of the enemy and traitor to her homeland?

However, the Bible, especially the New Testament, honors Rahab very much!

It seems likely that helping the spies against your country is a relative issue; some believe that it is the top crime against your country although the others say that it is the sign of faith and righteousness!

Also, the cause of invasion of Jericho is not mentioned. Why did Joshua invade Jericho and destroyed with the sword every living thing in it, all men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys.

It was total destruction of all forms of life, every living thing, men and all the foreign women, babies, girls, kids, even all the animals were killed.

I really do not think that God Love would be happy with such acts.

Also, I am not sure if you smart reader know that the sword is mentioned more than 400 times in the Bible (a year is 365 days!); and the sword is never ever mentioned in the entire Quran.

On the other hand, Joshua, Rahab, Jephthah, Samson, Jericho and Gaza are not mentioned therein in the entire Quran.

Moreover, the idiom “Foreign woman” is not found in the Quran; all women are equal in respect to their rights and responsibilities regardless of race, color, location etc.

Moreover, I wonder why Matthew and Mark insist that the splendid Saint Mary was an ordinary woman; she married Joseph who begot four children from her.

In the Quran, Saint Mary was one of the best four women ever walked on the earth. No man touched her; she was absolutely pure and virgin until she died. She was virgin all through her life from birth to death and no man has ever touched her. All respects, greetings and Peace are due to her and her son.

Nevertheless, both Matthew (13:55) and Mark (6:3) claim that Joseph begot four boys from Saint Mary; they were James, Joseph, Simon and Judas. These four boys are the four brothers of the Lord Jesus (four God’s brothers!).

Besides, the genealogy of the Lord Jesus in the Bible is composed of 42 generations according to Matthew-1 while it is composed of 55 generations according to Mark-3, i.e., there are 13 missed generations. These 42 or 55 generations are from Abraham to Joseph who married Mary and had four children from her.  On the other hand, the genealogy of the Lord Jesus in the Quran is only three words: “Jesus the Son of Mary!”  PERIOD

The Bible (New International Version)

Joshua 2:1

Then Joshua son of Nun secretly sent two spies from Shittim. “Go; look over the land,” he said, “especially Jericho.” So they went and entered the house of a prostitute named Rahab and stayed there.

Joshua 2:3

So the king of Jericho sent this message to Rahab: “Bring out the men who came to you and entered your house, because they have come to spy out the whole land.”

Joshua 6:17

The city and all that is in it are to be devoted to the LORD. Only Rahab the prostitute and all who are with her in her house shall be spared, because she hid the spies we sent.

Joshua 6:21

They devoted the city to the LORD and destroyed with the sword every living thing in it—men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys.

Joshua 6:22

Joshua said to the two men who had spied out the land, “Go into the prostitute‘s house and bring her out and all who belong to her, in accordance with your oath to her.”

Joshua 6:25

But Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute, with her family and all who belonged to her, because she hid the men Joshua had sent as spies to Jericho—and she lives among the Israelites to this day.

Hebrews 11:31

By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.

James 2:25

In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction?

Judges 11:1

Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty warrior. His father was Gilead; his mother was a prostitute.

Judges 16:1

One day Samson went to Gaza, where he saw a prostitute. He went in to spend the night with her.

Matthew 1:1, 5

1A record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham:

5Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth, Obed the father of Jesse (the father of King David),

Matthew 13:55

“Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas?

The Quran

In the entire Quran, the term “foreign woman” is not mentioned therein; all women are equal in respect to their rights and responsibilities regardless of race, color, location etc.

To avoid repetition, the interested reader can read the previous six articles of this series: “The Foreigner woman in Bible versus Quran”.

Back to my question to the smart and interested reader:

Are the Scholars honest when they claim that the Quran is quoted from the Bible?
